Focus: Eliminate Time Wasters NOW!!!

Time is precious to me and I am committed to eliminating time wasters. If this is your first time at Thrive Christians let me explain that this week is a continuation of questioning to uncover the best way to plan for thriving abundant living. Your comments are treasured; please jump in and give your two cents worth. Yesteday's comments are terrific....keeep them coming.

I am questioning myself to probe to see what's in my way of time and life management as I begin some new writing projects. I truly hope you give me your ideas and I can gain from your wisdom.

49. Where am I most likely to waste time today?

50. Am I choosing the most profitable form of recreation, relaxation, entertainment? Am I even planning for the best ways to relax and re-create? No....help!

51.. How do I want my children to remember me?

52. If I keep doing what I've always done, will I achieve my full potential?

53. Am I willing to do whatever it takes to get God's best?

54. How can I do what I did today even better tomorrow?

55. How can I go today beyond what I have already mastered?

56. Which of today's tasks can be batched together for faster accomplishment?

57. Instead of saying "Look at what I've accomplished" may I ask, “What could I have accomplished with what I was given?”

58. Will this help me or anyone else make it to heaven?

59. Will this activity promote personal holiness?

60. Am I leaving myself sufficient "open time" in my schedule to stay flexible enough for God to use me?

61. Would anything terrible happen if I didn't do this priority?

Each day is a new day. I could look at these questions one day and be gung ho on prioritizing and making my day count. I can look at them on another day and say 'I don't even have the strength to look at the list'. So now I'm adding another question (sorry) - how do we stay motivated into making the positive answers to these questions happen?

Today would be deemed worthless Wednesday in my world. Cold, unmotivated and you challenge me to look at my time wasters...uuuggghhh!

The desire of my heart is to live the abundant life - a life so full of God and chasing after him that I all of the mundane things in this world would seemingly disappear.

Facebook is a great thing in my world of chasing God, but also a timewaster...so can spending too much time on HCB network.

Looking for balance and a little boost today, but thanks for making me think

Thrive In Christ

Who I Am In Christ by Neil Anderson

For several months we will center on this book to pursue Thriving in our Christian journey.

Neil challenges us with: "Do you know who you are in God's eyes? We are no longer products of our past. We are primarily products of Christ's work on the cross. Who we are determines what we do.

You are not who you are in Christ because of the things you have done, you are in Christ because of what He has done. He died and rose again so that you and I could live in the FREEDOM of His love."

That's just the introduction. More to follow.
