It's Just A Name

No it isn't just a name. I'm talking about Messiah's name: Jesus Christ.

What do you say about the name: Jesus?

the name of jesus has caused nations to divide, for men to tremble and for people to come together for good. Thats jesus. its not just a name! It's power!

One day every knee will bow at the name of Jesus. Until then, we wait, praying for more and more to come to know him. I'm so glad I do.

There is strength in the name of the Lord. There is power in the name of the Lord. There is hope in the name of the Lord. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! - song by Sandi Patti.

Jesus--Strength, gentleness, power, humility, hope, joy, love, faithfulness, SAVIOR, Redeemer--friend.

There is, of course, much more--but Jesus--who could not even want to just sit at His feet and hear Him speak forever!!

Blessings Kay...I have a devotion every week from Ann Spangler:
"Praying the Names of God" we had the Names of God and now the Names of Jesus. In Week 9, it was Jesus Christ, Messiah..."the anointed One" which throughout the week, we studied how this Name signifies One who has been set apart for a special Mission. For me, Jesus is my Savior, Redeemer, Teacher, and then I think about the power of His Name...and how wonderful was the MISSION He came to do & complete!
And I stand in awe!!!

I, too think of that Sandi Patti song...that says HE is my Strength, my Power, my Hope, my eternal Blessing...my past blessing...my present BLESSING...He fills my life with a meaning and Message so every aspect of His Name & character exemplifies the anointing I desire on my life, mission, ministry, & daily message. His Spirit stirs in me all that is good & I believe it is in HIS NAME I take my authority in my prayer life and in my daily walk, especially when it gets so difficult...I must trust in this NAME...Jesus Christ, Messiah...the Anointed One.

This is what I loved best from what Ann shares:"He was the greatest of all kings, the one called and empowered to destroy God's enemies and extend His kingdom throughout the earth. His mission was to put an end to our deepest troubles -- to rebellion, sin, and death.

When we pray to Jesus Christ, we are praying to the Messiah, the Anointed One, whose mission involves calling the world back to God through the power of His love."

Thrive In Christ

Who I Am In Christ by Neil Anderson

For several months we will center on this book to pursue Thriving in our Christian journey.

Neil challenges us with: "Do you know who you are in God's eyes? We are no longer products of our past. We are primarily products of Christ's work on the cross. Who we are determines what we do.

You are not who you are in Christ because of the things you have done, you are in Christ because of what He has done. He died and rose again so that you and I could live in the FREEDOM of His love."

That's just the introduction. More to follow.
