The Main Thing

These days I find I must be focused to concentrate on the "main thing" in my life because time is precious and careless mindless living won't work. On Sunday I wrote: Focus Empowers. I interviewed a minister who shared of his prison experience. He shared what Jesus means to him and I will be forever changed by his testimony.

That has triggered this quest:

What does Jesus mean to you?

How has He changed your life?

How do you live out Christ in your life?

You won't get any comments today - that is TOO BIG of a question to answer on a blog comment. LOL.

The short answer is God taught me what a parent SHOULD be like. Huge. Jesus taught me what sacrific means and "true love" is.

Good reflection questions!!!

Kay,
My goal and hope is that I can too focus on the "main thing" in my life! Because as you so truly said...."time is precious and careless mindless living won't work"! I pray the Lord will help me to remember this and help me to focus better on the important issues of life!

Thanks for pointing this out to me!

What fun this has been to think about. How eye opening.
What does Jesus mean to me?
Love, hope, peace, safety, and the mention or reading of his name, Jesus, sends a wave of comfort over me like a blanket on the coldest of nights. He means everything that is good and perfect.

How has he changed my life?
Other than what was stated above, he has become one that I strive to be like. He is the perfect example of perfection. He has given me something to live for. He has become someone that I can bounce ideas off of, and know that he understands exactly what I am talking about.

How do I live out Christ in my life?
Poorly. But I try. I long to be like him. I try to love everyone. I pray with and for those who need prayers.

Thrive In Christ

Who I Am In Christ by Neil Anderson

For several months we will center on this book to pursue Thriving in our Christian journey.

Neil challenges us with: "Do you know who you are in God's eyes? We are no longer products of our past. We are primarily products of Christ's work on the cross. Who we are determines what we do.

You are not who you are in Christ because of the things you have done, you are in Christ because of what He has done. He died and rose again so that you and I could live in the FREEDOM of His love."

That's just the introduction. More to follow.
