Fun Friday Finally

Here at Thrive Christians Blog we believe in the joy of life and the value of laughter in a thriving abundant life. This has been another wild week that hasn't given me much time to write. I am a novice of writing humor and my ignorance shows through.

A promise is a promise and here is a bit to give you a laugh break. I've had car troubles this week so I found this little joke delightful:

Wife: "There's trouble with the car. It has water in the carburetor."
Husband: "Water in the carburetor? That's ridiculous."
Wife: "I tell you the car has water in the carburetor."
Husband: "You don't even know what a carburetor is. Where's the car?"
Wife: "In the swimming pool."

I seem to be so forgetful these days I never did this....
My wife had a nasty accident with the car this morning. She backed it out of the garage, completely forgetting that the night before, she had backed it in.
....but I never backed my car into the garage either!!!

Notice in a field:

The farmer allows walkers to cross the field for free, but the bull charges

Sign on a repair shop door:

We can repair anything.
(Please knock hard on the door - the bell doesn't work)

Bumper sticker: Keep honking, I'm reloading.

When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane and driving against traffic

Now if you have the time I can almost promise this video will bring you to laugh. This was filmed at the Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge Tennessee a couple audience members are brought on stage to participate.

I know the news is grim and getting more so; I'm sure things are not all going your way; in fact, you may have had some very bad news come into your life: but please choose to bring some things in your life that make you laugh. God gave us this gift and I'm convinced we would thrive more if we looked, hunted, and searched for those things that will bring laughter.

God bless you all.

Laughter is good for the soul, but laughing with good friends is even better. Thanks for the laugh & friendship.

Thrive In Christ

Who I Am In Christ by Neil Anderson

For several months we will center on this book to pursue Thriving in our Christian journey.

Neil challenges us with: "Do you know who you are in God's eyes? We are no longer products of our past. We are primarily products of Christ's work on the cross. Who we are determines what we do.

You are not who you are in Christ because of the things you have done, you are in Christ because of what He has done. He died and rose again so that you and I could live in the FREEDOM of His love."

That's just the introduction. More to follow.
